Fade of the Day – Williamsburg Garment Co. Grand Street Stretch Selvedge (1.5 Years, 4 Washes, 1 Soak)

Today’s edition of Fade Of the Day focuses on another first, as this is the first submission we’ve received highlighting the fade progression of a pair of Grand Street Stretch Selvedge jeans by the brand Williamsburg Garment Co. Thanks to Daniel Herndon in Indianapolis for making it happen.

The brand name befits the pair, as they certainly have those NYC vibes, thanks to the way the jeans were engineered with stretch. Stretch denim tends to prevent fades from being all they can be, particularly when it comes to heavy contrast, however the seven months of everyday wear have helped this pair progress along the road towards indigo loss. While there aren’t any ‘grail’ fades on hand, overall they’re a nicely rounded out pair, complete with whiskers, honeycombs, and stacks on display. There’s even an extra-curricular fade (from a 7 Plus?) at the back and tatters to round things out.
