The ‘golden hour’ or ‘magic hour’ is that sliver of time when the sun is entering or leaving the sky, when conditions are particularly ideal for taking pictures. Our own personal ‘magic hour’ when it comes to denim is that stage where a fair amount of dark indigo has leached out, leaving behind an electric blue.

Thelonious Goerz’s Rogue Territory Expedition SK’s, today’s Fade Of the Day, exhibit the super-blue affect with aplomb. The lone wash and three soaks have pushed the denim to this beautiful-yet-temporary moment.

There are a few contrasty fades at the the knee caps, a cellphone fade in the front left pocket, some tightly layered honeycombs at the back of the knee and a wallet fade in the rear right pocket, but the lack of overwhelming contrast actually adds to the nice even electric indigo on display. We hope Thelonious soaks in this moment while it lasts!
