Momotaro’s Latest Bag is Basically Like a Pair of Jeans With Handles

Momotaro went to the drawing board in effort to design a distinct denim tote and, oddly enough, they decided on what could be described as “double-wide daisy dukes with a handle.” But rest assured, this one get’s even cheekier with the details.

Nearly all of a standard five-pocket top block is right there: usable ‘front’ side pockets, stitching where a button fly would be, usable rear patch pockets with white battle stripes on the right pocket, “rear” yoke construction, and the real-deal branded Momotaro natural deer skin patch. Ramping things up a notch (and considering that the tote is just a large pocket), the interior is fully lined with the same custom-branded canvas fabric used for pocket bags.

A faux-exposed top button from the “button fly” is actually—and cleverly—the snap closure for when you want to keep your stuff private. And when I say stuff, I’m referring to the jeans you’re likely going to be carrying around in your jeans tote, made of jeans (Yo Dawg). The lone detailing disappointment here is that those belt loops shockingly don’t work. Don’t tease me like that, Momotaro, I was about to hook this tote up with a sick size 52 natural leather belt to make it official!
