Blue Wales Have Migrated Thanks to Still By Hand’s Indigo-Dyed Cords

It’s a good time to get into some corduroy. Not just because winter is approaching, but also because menswear designers have been including more and more of it in their collections. That means it’s coming back into favor, so you may want to get back on board the cords train before it hits the station and everyone else has beat it to death.

Still By Hand  who, it should be noted, usually come through with surprisingly decent pricing considering they make everything in Japan with solid construction details — is getting in on the action with their appropriately-cut Indigo-Dyed Loose Fit Cords. Cords tend to look a bit better when loose, especially when the pair utilizes a wide-wale (thicker) corduroy, like these. And Still By Hand has designed these accordingly, with a loose fit verging on being overly baggy.

Think of them as having ‘Woody Allen in Annie Hall’ vibes, sans the suspect bell-bottom silhouette he was rocking. And, of course, being that it’s Still By Hand at the helm, these are super saturated with natural indigo dye, so they’ll fade with wear. Somehow, however, I feel Woody might’ve been too neurotic to go down the Indigo route and would’ve instead opted for brown.
