Another day, another piece of evidence that the more intriguing stuff tends to land as a Japan-only release.
Take these Vans. While they look like your classic checkerboard affair, they’re just not. Made in extremely limited batches, this run was indigo-dyed using traditional Japanese techniques. And that means that I’ll probably find myself wasting hours trying to track them down with Google Translate at my disposal. Isn’t it funny how fast the Need to Cop escalates? (That’s 100% a measurable metric, but just don’t check me on that.)
Sure, these don’t exactly reinvent the Vans wheel, but they definitely come in above an eight on the NTC scale. (An eight is good.)
