Roses are red, denim is blue, these 3sixteen’s are sweet and our Fade of the Day for you! Heddels reader Michael Snow, from Utah, sent in these 17 oz. 3Sixteen ST-140x’s with just over a year of wear, and in that short time, they’ve really transformed.
Michael wears these jeans everyday, doing just about anything, including hiking, camping, playing music, long boarding or going to class (he really doesn’t discriminate). They’ve only had two washes, one of which was in a waterfall when Michael hiked Bridalveil Fall in Yosemite. While most people just soak their jeans in a bathtub, Michael decided to baptize his in one of the most notable waterfalls in the U.S.
In regards to wear, he’s had to patch one side of the crotch already and tells us he’s sending them in to have some darning done on the other side of the crotch. There’s also some distressing in the front and rear pockets where his cellphone and wallet usually sit. Some nice whiskering is happening in the lap and knees, but most notable are the contrasty honeycombs around back. Additionally, due to the slim taper the ankles are seeing some stacking and heavy creasing from cuffing.
