Need fades? Maybe try walking 20 kilometers m every day like this guy! Today’s Fade of the Day is a pair of Benzak BD-006 from Heddels reader Lukas in Germany. Lukas walks an accumulated 20 km to and from the train station for work every day. On top of that, he went hiking this summer in these, averaging another 20 km a day throughout the trip. Apparently, 20 km is the magic distance for fades.

As these Benzak’s are only a year old, there’s still a great deal of indigo retention, making the whiskering and the wear in the thighs and knees pop—especially where they’ve faded down to the white. Around back, there’s some heavier wear in the seat, revealing some pronounced white undertones and some subtle honeycombing beginning to take shape, which will no doubt become more apparent with time. Or just another 20 km, whichever comes first.
