We’re always pleased when pics of Naked & Famous‘ Elephant 4’s arrive, as they’re a consistent performer when it comes to heavyweight fades. And once again, they’re also our Fade of the Day.

If you can ride them out for a solid couple of years before your first wash, like Jakarta’s Milandi Amirullah did, you’ll end up with some crazy fades. Going two years without a wash can get a bit grimy—especially when the time is passed hiking, biking, and skateboarding on the weekends —but the payoff makes it all worthwhile.

Super, super crisp fades and contrasty whiskers, honeycombs, and exceptionally tall stacks are all front and center, as well as a decent wallet fade in the back. Most impressive of all is the level of indigo retention throughout, making those fades pop even more!
