Momotaro Gives Rise to Another Peachy Jean

Each time Momotaro‘s mascot busts out of that giant peach, you know you’re in for some Japanese-made goodness. And this time around, that mascot’s affixed to this pair of 0405-VSP High Taper Fit Jeans, made exclusively for customers outside of the brand’s homeland.

These jeans are made from Momotaro’s signature 15.7oz. raw selvedge denim, woven on vintage shuttle looms. The deep indigo dye is contrasted by a peach-colored inseam and selvedge ID, and the printed ‘going to battle’ stripes on the rear pocket are there to symbolize your winter-long battle with the fade gods. Bonus details come in the form of silver-coated copper buttons, chainstitched hems, and a vegetable-tanned leather patch with embossed Momotaro peach boy branding.

The high-tapered fit boasts a super high-rise, which makes for a roomy top block with a strong taper from the knee down, making these jeans accessible to those of us with larger thighs who still want a narrow hem-opening.

Available at Corlection for $352AUD (~$276USD).
