Negotiations may have begun for the U.K. to separate from the European Union, but that hasn’t stopped British outfitters Oi Polloi, getting together with French contemporary workwear label, Arpenteur, for a winter collaboration. And the standout piece from this project is the Oi Polloi x Arpenteur Mevi Jacket.
With the bitter French and English winters in mind, this beast of a jacket is made from thick, luxurious 100% melton wool. The hood can be removed via — in Oi Polloi’s words — ‘loud’ snap closures, to reveal a corduroy lined stand-up collar. And as well as a robust button closure, the body boasts two large pockets, big enough for Edward Scissorhands to keep his mitts warm.
Coming in two tonal colorways — navy and olive — each Mevi jacket is made in France by Arpenteur’s skilled craftsmen, and finished with an exclusive dual branded neck label which features Oi Polloi’s mascot cruising in a vintage Peugot. Très Bien!
