Heads up sneaker nerds: P.F. Flyers, king of old school footwear, has returned with another vintage-inspired drop for you to sink your feet into. The new Grounder Lo Sneakers combine military styling with rugged durability, so you can still hit the b-ball court in with ease. What’s better than that?
The Grounder Lo gets it shape from a US Military boot from the 1940s, which was then modified into a heavy-duty sneaker and brought into civilian life shortly after. This iteration features a heavyweight duck canvas upper, a gusseted tongue to keep your feet in and nature out, and a thick rubber sole with plenty of tread (so slipping will be the least of your worries). It’s all tied up with flat cotton laces, metal eyelets, breather vents, and P.F.’s signature Rigid Wedge insole. It doesn’t really matter what lies ahead when you have shoes that can take it all, right?
Available for $85 at P.F. Flyers.
