Fade of the Day – A.P.C. New Standard (2 Years, 2 Washes, 3 Soaks)

Every different job will produce a fade, but no two jobs will make the same fade. This time around, we have what we believe is our first opera house fade, or rather, The Fades of the Opera. That’s right, this pair of A.P.C. New Standards have been worn for two years while Brandon Barnes toiled days and nights so the show could go on.

In doing so, Brandon has carved out another pair of A.P.C.s to add to the ever-growing archive of great fades from the Parisian brand. He’s recorded two washes and three soaks, creating a rich blue cast with icy-white fades. The thighs have seen a lot of dye-loss, but not too much, because those stark whiskers still shine through.

But in true fashion, these Fades of the Opera won’t truly be complete until someone spills bleach on them and they spend a few years going mad underneath the dryer. Try to get as much wear as you can out of them before that happens, Brandon!
