With the legendary Cone Mills shutting down all too soon, it’s easy to get caught up in the last-minute American denim-buying hysteria. Case in point: I just impulse-bought some Levi’s Vintage Clothing 501s. But that buzzer-beating impulse buy might not be as easy for our female readers.
Luckily for the ladies, there’s Gamine. Gamine Workwear applies the rough and tough raw denim vibe that’s usually reserved for men’s workwear to garments that are designed to better fit women (look here for their three fits), and their Slim Slouch Dungaree comes with a straight leg, patch pockets on front and back, and even reinforced knees. The whole ensemble is made with 13oz. selvedge denim sourced from the soon-to-be-defunct White Oak plant in Greensboro, NC.
