Naked & Famous Unveils the Characters in Their Street Fighter II Lineup

So Naked & Famous finally revealed details of their collaboration with Capcom’s Street Fighter II, and the fruits of the unlikely union will be two pairs of special edition jeans that will have denim heads worldwide screaming “HADOUKEN!” The Canadian denim wizards at N&F certainly know what they’re doing when it comes to souping up a pair of five-pocket jeans, and this outlandish project is no different.

The two-minute trailer takes you down memory lane to the iconic Street Fighter II character selection screen, revealing the characters that inspired the jeans. First up is Ryu, the franchise’s mainstay fighter. The Ryu Hadoken Slub Stretch Selvedge Jean is made of slubby, 12oz. raw Japanese stretch denim, with icy blue weft yarns and selvedge edges to symbolize Ryu’s legendary ‘Hadouken’ attack. The second is the Guile Sonic Boom Selvedge Jean, made from tough 12.5oz. raw Japanese denim, with golden yellow selvedge edges inspired by the military macho-man’s ‘Sonic Boom’ attack.

Both pairs feature veg-tan leather waist patch with a foil embossed portrait of the fighter, custom pocket bags, and a embroidered graphic of each characters signature attack on the back pocket. The Ryu edition jean is available in the Super Skinny Guy, Weird Guy, and Easy Guy fits, while the Guile edition is available in the Super Skinny Guy, and Weird Guy.

The collaboration launches this holiday season and will be available at a range of retailers including  Tate+Yoko, Mode Man, Standard & Strange, Blue Owl, and American Rag.
