Having built themselves a solid foundation with heavyweight jeans that fade quicker than you can say “Indonesia,” Sage has begun a new venture — denim jackets. They’ve kicked things off with the Sage Canine Type II Denim Jacket, which is an interpretation of the classic Levi’s Type II trucker jacket.
In typical Sage style, this jacket is constructed from rope-dyed, deep indigo raw denim, this time weighing in at a moderate 14oz. In addition to the two chest pockets with angled flap closures, two hand warmer pockets were added to the lower torso, then three (yes, three) internal pockets were tacked on for extra storage. While these may be modern updates, Sage has been sure to include the essential Type II-style pleats that run parallel to the button placket.
The Canine Type II is finished with custom steel buttons, a blue ‘polaris’ pocket-tab, and a signature patch at the neck. Oh, and did we mention that it’s only sixty bucks? That’s right – sixty bucks.
