Epaulet Made in Los Angeles Sierra Vest

Duck… duck… vest! If you’ve been on the hunt for a vest that isn’t stuffed to the seams with down or lined with thick shearling, look no further than the Sierra Vest by L.A.-based brand, Epaulet. Based on a 1920s hunting design, the Sierra is Epaulet’s take on a sportswear classic that’s ready for all four seasons.

The Sierra comes in three colorways — Navy, Walnut, and ‘Loden Woods’ — for those into options. The Loden Woods colorway is built from a green 14oz. Woolrich Woolen Mills Donegal wool (adorned with flecks of gold, tan, and red), while the Navy and Walnut variations are constructed from a 12oz. cotton duck canvas, which is made in the U.S.A and finished with a ‘soft touch’ treatment to give the garment a soft hand from the get-go.

And if you were concerned that that finish might impact the aging, don’t be. With enough wear and washing, you can still expect the same chalky patina that duck canvas is famed for. Keeping things consistent, the simple construction of a four-button closure with two large pockets and a straight hem applies to each color variation, which means you can rotate these all year long.

Available at Epaulet for $95.
