It’s fade time, folks, and today, we’re shining the spotlight on this of pair Engineered Garments Workaday Five-Pocket Selvedge jeans, coming to us courtesy of Liem Ngo, from New York. Believe it or not, this is Engineered Garments’ premier appearance in our Fade of the Day and these well-loved jeans certainly got the ball rolling.
Workaday? More like 431 days, or at least that’s how long Liem tell us he’s worn these jeans during his time as a fashion student. Now graduated, his jeans are still with him, with heavy dye-loss, a stark pocket fade, and shredded honeycombs, acting as a reflection of his studies.
Liem is pretty handy with a sewing machine, so he decided to add a cinch-back adjuster himself. This custom addition, along with the numerous crotch repairs and roped-up hems, is part of a truly unique wear pattern that Liem can be proud of.
