Fade Friday – ESRE TG-18 (3.5 Years, 4 Washes, 11 Soaks)

It’s that time of the week folks, the final Fade Friday of 2017! And to end a year of solid fades, we’ve got this pair of ESRE TG-18, submitted by Razka Ibrahim, who hails from Indonesia, but currently hangs his hat in London. He’s been wearing these jeans for three-and-a-half years, earning some stunning vintage-style fades along the way.

A rich blue cast, worn-to-white thighs, train-track fades, and subtle details–like hem-roping and puckering around the waistband–these bad boys really look like they’ve been pulled straight from a vintage denim archive! Razka tells us he wore these jeans every day for the first year, including whilst building his 1959 BSA Motorcycle, which has no doubt contributed to the denim evolution.

As well the aforementioned hallmarks, Razkas jeans have also developed some solid ‘combs and whiskers, but the best of all has to be the button fades on the fly, we don’t see that everyday. Miraculously, no repairs have been needed yet, so Razka can keep these ESREs in his rotation. You might even catch a shot of them on his Instagram.
