Fade of the Day – Lee 101-LJ Storm Rider (10+ years)

Winter can be a testing season, but a good denim jacket can help you ride the storm. One Heddels reader who knows this all too well is Carter Woodland from Columbus, Ohio, who picked up this vintage Lee 101-LJ Storm Rider.

This Lee piece hasn’t seen much wear from Carter himself, but the previous owner certainly showed it a lot of tough lovin’ over the years. Washed out and faded, with roping covering all the felled seams, this Storm Rider has vintage qualities that and denim head can appreciate. There’s also a gnarly hole by one of the chest pockets, and some fraying to the blanket-lining at the cuffs – both of which only add to the rugged patina of this vintage classic.

You can keep up with Carter on Instagram.
