Fade of the Day – Naked & Famous Stretch Selvedge (3 Years, 15 Washes)

Stretch denim gets a bad wrap from some of the selvedge-purists out there, but when you see jeans like this pair of Naked & Famous Stretch Selvedge’s, it’s hard to see why! Coming to us from Gerald in Singapore, these N&F’s have been worn for three years and they’re putting up a strong argument for the stretch-selvedge camp.

Gerald tells us he’s worn these jeans pretty much every day throughout their tenure, with nothing but a whole load of walking used to work in the fades we’re seeing here. The denim has kept a nice level of indigo after a measured 15 washes, just enough for the fades to shine through in high contrast.

The lap has seen the most dye loss, and it’s peppered with whiskers from the pockets right down to the knees. And with top-notch stacking fades, honeycombs, and some gnarly battle scars, what more could we need for this solid edition of Fade of the Day?
