orSlow’s Suede US Navy Hat Is Good For Everything But Rain

These days, vintage aficionados and denim nerds alike know the original ‘Daisy Mae‘ cap as the stylish and always sought-after vintage wartime military accessory that was designed to keep the sun off your face and neck. But to keep things interesting, OrSlow took this classic design and put their own spin on it. In this case, that spin was suede.

I can’t say I’ve ever seen it done before, and there’s something special about this Suede US Navy Hat. It’s non-structured profile lends well to the material used, and though the thought of wearing so much leather on your head might throw some off, they did a nice job offsetting it with the interior, using a fair amount of vintage inspired herringbone twill on the taping and headband. Each hat is made in Japan and features a fully stitched brim and brass eyelet breather vents to help your dome breath when the weather gets hot. But beware, you might want to avoid any potential rainstorms when rocking this suede boy.
