Epaulet’s Latest Doyle Jacket is Silky Smooth and Ultraflecked

With the surplus of chore jackets out there, one of them has to have a little spice to garner some attention. The Doyle Jacket from Epaulet is a classic, but this season’s ‘Ultrafleck’ version is everything nice with a lot of spice. Available for pre-order between now and January 11, 2018, the 12oz. denim is a cotton/silk blend with the resilience of everyone’s favorite workwear fabric, peppered with neppy flecks from the silk.

Like all the preceding Doyle Jackets before it, this one is an homage to the famous French chore coat. It comes with hip and chest pockets, all of which are heavily reinforced with hidden rivets and heavy bar-tacking. The rear is vented and the soft collar gives the whole ensemble a refined look. But if you want to get down to some serious physical labor (or just show off the inside of the fabric), the cuffs can easily be rolled up.

The pre-order requires a deposit of $125, which makes up a little more than half of the final price of $235. The Doyle is available on the Epaulet website and will start shipping out at the end of February.
