We all have our favorite jacket, the old reliable that always pulls through. For today’s edition of Fade of the Day, we’re shining the light on Jim Zak’s ride or die—a Guide Gear Leather Car Coat, which he’s been rocking for over a decade now.
A Pennsylvania native, Jim tells us this jacket has seen him through many harsh winters, and it looks all the better for it. The caramel-toned leather has worn down to a semi-white tone in some places, and it’s developed a crinkly patina at the hem and around the edges of the pockets.
If that wasn’t enough, the sleeves are showing subtle honeycombs and creases with grain – a hallmark of a well-worn leather jacket.
