How many washes does it take to get a pair of Nudie Straight Sven’s threadbare? Well, Boris Kupesic reached out to tell us that it takes 12 washes. And a lot of wear. Like, a lot. Enough to make them our Fade of the Day.
More specifically, it takes two years of wear, with washes every two months, and kudos to Boris for swimming up Consensus Stream and doing so. It will most certainly have an affect upon your jeans, as you can see here, but it can also nudge them in a great-looking direction, again—as you can also see here. There’s a really nice level of indigo leaching throughout and an impressive, near complete indigo loss at the upper leg. No longer his staple jean, Boris has since retired this pair, but have fun with the next pair Boris!
