For most people, when the sun comes out, the boots come off. A popular choice for denimheads in warmer climes these days is a pair of Birkenstocks, and for this edition of Fade of the Day, we have a premier appearance for the German footwear brand.
Appaearing in the form of this well-loved pair of Arizona’s, these come to us courtesy of James from Springfield, Missouri.
James tells us he’s been rocking these for one year, from sidewalk to poolside, and it certainly shows in the darkened areas of the cork footbed. The brown leather of the footstraps looks to have softened nicely, developing a rich patina that’s full of burnished brown tones and subtle creasing. And like all Birkenstocks, these don’t just look good: they’re also as comfortable as shoes get, period.
