Fade of the Day – Japan Blue JBO-430 (14 Months, Unknown Washes)

Blue by name, blue by nature. Today’s Fade of the Day shines the spotlight on this pair of Japan Blue JBO-430’s, submitted to us by Steve Minard from California. Steve has spent just over a year rocking these jeans on a daily basis, and they’re now a solid addition to this week’s fade line-up.

These Japan Blue’s have weathered most of Steve’s daily activities during their tenure, including dog walking, bike riding, and working his on classic Volkswagen. The result? Stellar fades all around.

The lap and knees have worn down to an icy white tone that’s offset by the surrounding rich indigo hues, with whiskers coming through in force to highlight Steve’s daily wear. On the reverse, dye has been significantly lost in the seat and calf areas, and a set of shredded, three-dimensional honeycombs are matched by a gnarly pocket fade that’s busted through the back pocket.
