The search for the perfect jeans is eternal. We sample different cuts, different weights, but we’re never quite satisfied. Perhaps it’s more about the journey than the destination, but in any case, if you want a cool new option, you gotta take a look at the latest from Iron Heart and Self Edge.
These two behemoths had previously teamed up to create a new fit, the 633, and are now offering that straight-tapered jean in their 18oz. Vintage Denim. The 633 has a generous top block and a mid-rise, which tapers gracefully to a tailored- but-not-too-tight lower leg. The denim is woven in Japan at Shinya Mills and it features a slack weave and short staple cotton that will evolve over time into a more classic, vintage-fading denim. And though Iron Heart might be stepping back in time with their denim’s hand and fade properties, they’re staying absolutely up-to-date with all those hardcore IH details.
While the quest for the perfect jeans may be never-ending, the 18oz. 633s are an absolutely crucial stop along the way.
Available from Self Edge for $325.
