Momotaro’s Sashiko Spring Coat Mixes Martial Arts and Workwear

What’s better to wear in spring than a Sashiko Spring Coat? Probably nothing, especially when it comes from Momotaro. It has the word ‘spring’ in the name, for crying out loud!

Built from a beautifully textured indigo dyed sashiko fabric, you can expect the 03-072 coat to be just as durable as it is nice to look at (which is also probably why sashiko’s one of the top choices for fabric used in martial arts attire). Offering some slight updates to their Work Jacket, Momotaro opted to go with a slightly longer body and modified U-shaped waist pockets, with a riveted chest pocket. The jacket also sports some influence from bygone French chore coats, such as the split bottom back, large resin buttons, and fabric choice that will fade heavily over time.

And if those close-up shots don’t make you want to wear this thing into the ground, I don’t know what will.
