Aegis Handcraft Dives into Ready-to-Wear with Poorwill

Until now, Aegis Handcraft, made exclusively high-quality leather goods and bags, but things are changing. Jess, the owner and maker behind the brand, has just launched Poorwill, her own ready-to-wear line.

So far, Poorwill only offers its Painter Jacket, but what the new sub-brand lacks in variety, it more than makes up for in construction. This boxy, perfect-for-all-genders jacket is made from 13oz. bull denim in small batches. Bound seams, hammered copper buttons, and leather-backed saddle rivets guarantee the longevity of the jacket and big ‘ol pockets affirm its practicality. Where else are you gonna stash your Nintendo Switch? The whole ensemble is also meticulously constructed on a single needle machine (e.g., that’s a lot of work).

Though the Painter Jacket is sold out on the Aegis Handcraft website, you can still get in on the handcrafted glory for $295 at Tom Clothes & Goods.
