BDD’s BC-01 Tapered Chino Turns Herringbone on its Side

As spring rolls in, the lightweight pieces follow suit, and start tricklin’ on in to the shops like clockwork.

Benzak’s BC-01 chino is a prime example, as it will seamlessly replace the heavy-duty fall/winter denim in your pant rotation. Being that it’s a once-washed, 100% cotton, indigo-dyed herringbone fabric, sourced from Imotex in Italy, it certainly looks the part, and will fade too. But since it’s coming in at a scant 7.5oz.—a weight that makes it more suitable for this time of year—you can go about your summer business without wishing you packed your shorts.

Undoubtedly, the most noteworthy element on these is the decision to rotate the fabric 90 degrees prior to cutting, turning the traditional herringbone literally and figuratively on its side. TLDR: a quirky chino that thinks it’s a jean has arrived just in time for the warmer months.
