Nigel Cabourn’s PW Jean is Half Cotton, Half Linen, and All British

Nigel Cabourn, fanatical expert of all things vintage, has become a favorite “kooky uncle with a perma-smile” to many on Instagram. Not only has his account finally allowed us a window into the Brit’s design process, his vintage buying trips, and even his old-school workout regiment, but it’s given us all near-daily looks at his personal style, which is always worth a glance considering he’s got one of the largest vintage collections in the UK.

Bringing a staple look of his to a larger audience, one of his latest offerings is the PW Jean, a high-waisted wide-leg pant that can be held up by belt, suspenders, or, if you really wanted to, both simultaneously. A take on a vintage prisoner of war jean from Nigel’s archive, the 13oz. rope-dyed denim has a 100% cotton warp and 100% linen weft and is sourced from one of the last remaining traditional denim mills in Britain. And, to finish the whole British-made theme, these limited jeans were constructed with the help of the blokes at Blackhorse Lane.

Available for $525 at Nigel Cabourn.
