You might find yourself asking, “Does wool even develop patina?”
Today’s Fade of the Day will provide incontrovertible proof that it does. Micah Pfeiffer sent in this Ebbets Field Flannels Brooklyn Bushwicks Baseball Hat that he wore for 5 years straight and the end result is vastly different than the original product.
Micah hand-washed the hat by hand a few times over the course of 5 years, but otherwise he just wore it pretty much every day. After years of sunlight and daily use, the original colors have faded considerably and the original texture of the wool has worn down. Sweat has created some discoloration on the brim and the “B” has faded too, not unlike the bygone team it represents.
