Iron Heart‘s cult following is one that thrives on heavyweight denim and robust fabrics, but they’ve thrown a linen-based curveball with their latest spring/summer release. The IHSH-197 is Iron Heart’s first 100% linen shirt — a lightweight sawtooth western number that weighs in at a nimble 6.5oz. — but you can rest assured that it still features all the Iron Heart panache we’re accustomed to.
Coming in two shades of indigo, the linen ‘denim’ fabric is woven with indigo warp and black weft yarns. One-washed to reduce shrinkage to a minimum, the IHSH-197 is summer-ready and features the typical hallmarks of a sawtooth western shirt, including pronounced front and rear yokes, dual chest pockets with sawtooth flaps, and snap button closures throughout. The typical mother-of-pearl snaps of the Americana classic have, however, been swapped for custom black alternatives, adding a measure of stealth to this somewhat experimental piece.
Capping things off, each piece is sewn with contrasting orange thread and finished at the side gusset with chainstitch run-off.
