Pure Blue Japan and Coworkers’ Collaboration is a Fake

The folks at Pure Blue Japan are anything but fakers in the raw denim world. In fact, they’re some of the best at what they do, and what they do often involves the color blue, like this latest collab with Coworkers called the Faked Pullover Work Shirt.

The name pretty much gives it away, but (in case you couldn’t tell from the photos) it’s pretty much a faux pullover with hidden buttons on the bottom half of the placket, which gives it a unique look while remaining easy to put on. It’s made with a neppy, limited supply, deadstock 10oz. indigo and gray selvedge cotton fabric that’s got a really nice looking texture, and it’s sure to age well over time. Cut in a regular fit, this shirt features triple-stitched construction throughout, with metal laurel buttons and hidden snap buttons on the single chest pocket and lower placket. Haters will say it’s fake… but they’re only half right.
