If you thought Naked & Famous was committed to Street Fighter based on their previous collaborative releases, this new one will blow you out of the water with the power of seven Dragon Punches. Seven. That’s right, it’s time for Round 2 — a release so epic that you’ll be wishing you could run down to your hometown arcade and show all your friends just how sick your new jeans are.
For this capsule, N&F is releasing three brand spankin’ new pairs of jeans, each based off a character from the iconic game with details down to the last pixel. You’ve got your M. Bison “Psycho Power” jeans, a 15oz. unsanforized indigo warp and purple weft denim that’s rough to the touch. The natural veg-tan leather patch is emblazoned with M. Bison himself performing his signature “Psycho Crusher” move in a mesmerizing purple foil.
Then there’s the Blanka “Electric Surge” jeans, a 12.5oz. greencast indigo denim with the shocking character embroidered on the back pocket. The orange pocket bags, orange selvedge ID, and orange hair on hide leather patch all point to the character’s trademark fiery mane.
And rounding out the collaborative second round is the Chun Li Silk “Lightning Leg” denim. Made with a silk-infused denim that results in a peppering of nep throughout, it comes with some stretch, a nod to Chun Li’s capacity for flexible feats. Each jean comes with a character-specific holofoil flasher and character artwork on each of the pocket bags.
In the shirt department, they went all out with three 8-bit icon themed shirts, made using a laborious cut-jacquard weaving process that creates a luxurious feel that is unmatched by large scale manufacturers. Let’s just say… it’s time to get your game on. Fight!
