Viberg and Division Road join forces yet again, showing off some of the Canadian bootmaker’s prowess with their latest joint effort, the Black Oil Tan Roughout Boondocker. With these boots, Viberg is doing what they do best:  playing with vintage designs and modern processes to craft some of the most compelling footwear on the market. The boots are based on the N-1 field shoe, a piece of standard U.S. Army equipment in WWII, but use a full-grain black oil tan roughout leather from Seidel Tannery.

And while they’ve slimmed the silhouette to Viberg’s popular 2030 last, they didn’t slim down on that vintage attention to craftsmanship. Triple- and even quadruple-stitching like the originals keeps these beautiful boots tough as nails, stitchdown construction, and a raw corded sole from Dr. Sole will keep you on your feet even in the most slippery of conditions.
