Yamato Elevates the Common Coaster with Vegetable-Tanned Leather and Indigo

I’ve always been the nerd who unwarrantedly picks up people’s drinks and gives them a coaster.

“Were you raised in a barn?” I usually ask.

While I may never fully unwind, at least now I can buy cooler coasters. Filling the bill, Yamato has made this set of indigo-dyed leather coasters. The set of five is hand-dyed in a gradient, so no two coasters are exactly alike. And all those veg-tanned coasters are dyed in Brooklyn, where each of the coasters are treated with oil after their indigo bath, to keep them fresh and supple for years to come.
