Companion Takes You Inside the Warp and Weft of Their Latest Jacket, ‘Le Blouson Bleu’

If you like your blue collared jackets to fade and patina, you’re in good company. Inspired by vintage French workwear, ‘Le Blouson Bleu’ is the latest from one man brand Companion.

It’s got all the trappings of the classic French chore coat including two patch pockets at the waist, one at the chest, and an internal pocket. The accompanying video gives a quick look into the making of the jacket’s fabric, a 14oz. selvedge herringbone twill with an indigo warp and indigo weft woven on a vintage shuttle loom in France. Branded and burnt corozo nut buttons at the placket and cuffs and internal seams bound with chambray upgrade this workwear staple.
