Fade of the Day – A.P.C. New Standard (1 Year, 1 Soak)

Today’s Fade of the Day took one year and one soak to yield these characteristic fades. These raw-hemmed A.P.C. New Standards worn by John Nisan from Michigan may not have left room for the roping fades that we adore, but they have burgeoning fades in all the right places.

John wears these A.P.C.’s three to five days a week. Despite the relatively short time frame and non-daily wear, he’s turned them into some solid blues with tight whiskering with a good amount of contrast. The right knee has a small blow out and has faded considerably down to a dirty beige. The honeycombs are as tight as the whiskers and the stacks, though subtle, are wispy. The seat has faded down to a far lighter color and the back pockets have outlines of a pocket knife. More wear and more washes will certainly up the fade potential of this already beautiful pair of jeans.
