Fade Friday – Momotaro x Japan Blue 0700SP (4 Years, 1 Wash, 6 Soaks)

We save the best for Fade Friday, folks! This pair of Momotaro x Japan Blue 0700SP belong to Wai-Yeong Leong, a Singapore-based denimhead who’s been wearing them for four years.

Wai-Yeong has worn these jeans daily for his job at a microbiology laboratory. From bike commutes to chemical spills, Wai Yeong tells us these Momos have seen it all. The thighs and seat have seen some substantial dye loss, which helped bring out the beautiful texture of the denim and provide a handsome contrast to the deeper indigo tones on the lower legs.

A lovely touch on these Momotaros is the painted battle stripes on the back-pocket—still very much intact here, but chipping away nicely. And last but certainly not least—something no Fade Friday is complete without—a set of epicly shredded honeycombs.

You can find Wai-Yeong on Instagram.
