Ginew’s Thunderbird Coat Unifies White Oak, Deer Skin and Pendleton

Wedding season is upon us and if you’re getting your nuptials on why not seal the deal with (you guessed it) denim? Dedicating yourself to the love of your life might not conjure up images of Ginew’s Thunderbird Coat, but let us explain.

In the vein of vintage Lee denim jackets, this trucker jacket uses 13.75oz. Cone Mills White Oak raw selvedge denim, features two flap pockets at the chest, two hand pockets at the waist, waist adjusters, and a hunted deerskin roughout leather collar. Look on the inside and you’ll see the custom woven Pendleton blanket lining, a veritable tapestry filled with symbolic unity. Traditionally given to new couples as a symbol of their union, Ginew had their exclusive version christened ‘We Walk Together’, and it features motifs from various Native American tribes, blending and melding into one. Whether it’s a wedding gift or a gift to yourself, the union between jacket and wearer should last a long time.

It’s on pre-order for Fall 2018 and available for $425 at Ginew.
