Momotaro Does Dozen-Ounce Denim for Summer

If, like me, you still want to rock raw denim in completely inappropriate climates, Momotaro has got you covered with their 0306-12 12oz. jeans. Built from a lighter weight denim than most of the Japanese brand’s other offerings, these Momotaros are designed with warmer climes in mind.

Coming in a slim-tapered fit, these jeans feature a mid-to-low rise, slim thighs, and a strong taper through the leg. The 100% Zimbabwe cotton, 12oz. Japanese denim is sanforized, eliminating the need for a preliminary soak and leaving these jeans ready to wage a summer fade-war from the get-go. And in classic Momotaro fashion, these jeans feature a peach-colored inseam and selvedge ID, both of which nod to the Japanese folklore hero, Momotarō, the brand’s namesake who is also pictured on the natural cowhide waist patch.

Each pair is finished with chainstitched hems and waistband, silver-coated copper buttons, and discharge printed ‘battle stripes’ on the rear pocket.

Available from Corlection for $319AUD (~$241USD).
