Anatomica Revives 80-Year-Old Workwear Details with Big Yank

When I’m perusing vintage stores, it’s always the old-school American workwear pieces that catch my eye. Battered Carhartt overalls, faded Lee pieces, and super old Osh Kosh B’Gosh chore coats are just a some of the gems you can find in the right places. But when it comes to shirting, it’s the Big Yank shirts that really stand out for me, and it looks like the folks over at Anatomica have collaborated with the vintage brand (both under the 35Summers umbrella) to revive a standout shirt.

Based on the pre-1940s Big Yank chambray shirts, this reproduction à la Anatomica features a pronounced pointed collar, a high-set curved yoke, and a curved hem to make for some strong tuckin’. Built from 100% cotton chambray, this piece features archetypal Big Yank construction, with triple-needle stitching, bar tack reinforcements throughout, storm cuffs, urea buttons, a single branded aluminum button, action elbows, urea buttons, and dual-chest pockets—one for pens, the other for a box of smokes.

Available from Lost & Found for ~$228USD ($295CAD).
