Nudie calls these the Roger Overalls, (we consider them coveralls) but no matter what you want to call them, this onesie has aged well over it’s 5.5-year lifespan, so much so that we made it our Fade Of The Day.

Peter Henry of the U.K. sent us in these fades. Peter appreciated Nudie’s ‘Roger’ enough that he bought two pairs way back in September of 2012. Thankfully for us the two pairs allow us to see before and after examples of the garment.

The faded pair you see here was initially worn outdoors: frequently dirtied in the garden, and frequently washed as a result. Peter has retired them from work duty, but all that hard work, and washing, definitely paid off. Tons of indigo has leached out of the coverall, allowing for the nicely textured grain of the 14.3 oz. denim twill to come into view.
