Learn the Art of Shibori Dyeing in This Workshop with Curious Corners

As much as everyone loves buying indigo goods, at some point, we all think “I can do that.” Thanks to Curious Corners in Brooklyn—and their new Indigo Dye Shibori Workshop—you can actually learn the craft of indigo dyeing for yourself.

The class will teach the basics of the art form with no prior experience necessary, and Curious Corners will provide a pre-washed cotton bandana or tenugui (tea towel), and a tote for you to work on. With tools provided, you’ll learn the shibori method, itajime (wood-clamping) pattern making, and how to dye in Yamato Indigo. After a 3 hour course, you get to take home what you made along with the knowledge of how to do it yourself.

Class tickets are available at Curious Corners for $45.
