Oni’s ONI-612-OLD14 Revives an Original Fabric in a New Fit

Cut from an ‘OLD’ 14oz. loose-weave selvedge denim that the brand first used with their premiere pair—the tale of which has reached somewhat of a legendary status over the years—Japan’s Oni presents a new pair of jeans, dubbed the ONI-612-OLD14. It’s said that one man sits at the loom that mills this slubby-as-hell denim and slowly adjusts the machine to affect the weave, creating a wonderfully rugged, but still soft-handed denim, which now embodies the Oni brand. It’s noticeably lighter than most of the fare we’re used to seeing from them by now, making it easier to wear year-round.

Pair this wonderful material with very subtle detailing like hidden rivets, a continuously sewn leather patch, and exclusive arcuate-less rear pockets, cut it into Oni’s Relaxed Taper cut, and you’re left with a product that fans old and new will appreciate.

Available for $230 at Blue in Green.
