Hyogo, Japan’s orSlow has switched gears a bit, and for this season they aren’t just producing updated, long-lasting workwear- and military-inspired garments—they’re publishing a book, too. The hardcover volume celebrates founder Ichiro Nakatsu‘s philosophy, designs, manufacturing processes, and the history of the clothing company he founded back in 2005. Examining his mission to be the antithesis to the fast-moving modern fashion industry, orSlow’s deliberate approach has been recorded and presented for all to study.
Published in Japan, the limited first edition is printed in both Japanese and English, and, as a nod to the material that led Ichiro to start the brand, has a denim detail along the spine portions of the front and back covers.
