Holy honeycombs Batman, It’s time again for our Fade of the Day! Reade Gosen of Minneapolis, Minnesota, sent in these Momotaro Tight Tapered 0305-50s that are full of fades, but unfortunately, also have a serious crotch blow out, pocket bag blow outs, and torn cuffs.
Reade wore these Momotaros a lot, and only washed them once in nearly two and a half years of ownership. He has had them hemmed with a Union Special and they have been darned several times in the crotch, cuffs, honeycombs, and both the front and back pockets. The dirty fades mixed with the pops of white from the underlying denim gives these a ton of character. That being said, given the state of the denim and all of the damage it has taken, these Momotaros are proof positive that washing is the way to go, both for the time it can give you and the money it can save.
