As Samurai Jeans approaches its 20th anniversary, we’re fondly reminiscing on two decades of their contributions to the world of denim. Solid fades from the Japanese denim brand hit our inbox week after week, and the latest Fade of the Day is this pair of S710XX 24 Oz. jeans that come to us courtesy of Tom Burke of London, England.

Tom has been wearing these Samurais for a little over two years, attending many punk gigs and traveling to Asia and central Europe as well. The denim is still super dark – but this only accentuates the creases and faded areas – with some shredded whiskers and honeycombs emerging through the heavyweight denim. Look a little closer and you’ll find subtle stacking fades developing towards the hems. Last but not least, Tom’s rear pockets are fading nicely, and they’re slowly revealing the hidden arcs – always a nice touch.
