Fade Friday – Sage Marcher (2 Years, 2 Washes)

It’s almost time to kick back for the weekend, and Fade Friday is here to make that last push just a little easier. This week, we’ve got a pair of Sage Marcher jeans coming to us from Edwin Naga, a denimhead who hangs his hat in Indonesia. Well-worn Sage jeans rarely fail to impress, and today marks the Indonesian brands’ tenth appearance on Fade Friday.

Edwin tells us these jeans have seen two years of daily wear with two soaks along the way. We’re not seeing the usual comic-strip fades that we often see from shredded Sage jeans here, but these slightly more authentic fades have a charm all their own.

The once-deep indigo denim has evolved to hold tones that range from rich ocean blues in the less-faded areas to icy whites in the heavily-worn thighs and seat. We also have some very solid whiskers, carved-in ‘combs, and the ever-pleasing touch of Sage’s indigo arcuates, which are now clear as day thanks to the substantial dye loss on the rear pockets.
